  • How can I check this is right for me before I commit?

Before I ask any client to commit, I offer a ‘Discovery’ session.

The purpose is to discuss at high level what you want to achieve/ how I can support you and see how we ‘gel’ as coach and client (remembering trust is key to success).

  • What is included in the package?

    * An initial 1 hour introductory consultation. NB If client is under 18 an additional 30 min consult with parents is required.

    * Weekly 1 hour 1 on 1 coaching session for duration of the term of agreement.  Content is client specific.

    * Unlimited online / email support.

*Priority access to supplementary group webinars.

  • Is it expensive?

Total cost is based on the term of the agreement, which consists of face to face coaching sessions and ongoing online support.

However, to provide an indication, based on 1 hour coaching session, cost would equate to between $80-$100, which is competitively aligned to the health and well being industry.

  • Will my coaches life experiences have to ‘match’ mine for us to be able to work together?

    No

  • Do you tell me what the problem is and what to do to fix it?

No. Telling is for consultants. The life coaches’ philosophy is that you are the expert of you! A coach poses questions to open a different perspective and / or deeper reflection.

  • How much time do I need to invest?

Sessions run for 60mins each week for duration of plan (3 month/ 6 month or over the year).

Homework / assignments also need to be completed, however the intent is to keep these very manageable to minimise the risk of not being done

  • Is there homework?

Yes. Teaching methodologies have proven practical application reinforces theoretical learning and to maximise buy-in, students are involved in the homework setting.

  • Does it take a long time to get results?

Result are as individual as people. Some people report having ‘ah-ha’ moments or breakthrough quite quickly, for others it’s a slower burn.

  • How do you measure progress and success?

A variety of techniques are used to get the best results. Below is a simple change model used to measure progress.

Awareness:        Do you feel something isn’t right and there must be other options?

Desire:                Do want to improve your situation? How much effort are you willing to invest?

Knowledge:        Do you have the right tools and techniques available to you?

Ability:                How can you put the techniques into practise? Do you have a feedback loop?

Reinforcement: Can you apply the techniques repeatedly enough that you shift your ‘norm’ – the secret to transforming your life!!!

  • How are sessions held? Are there options?

All plans include One on One coaching IE coach and client, delivered face to face via online conferencing or in person.

In person is only available to clients within Sydney metro area.

Sessions are best held in a quiet, safe place that allows deep reflection, at times you will be asked to close your eyes.

If you seek in person coaching and the appropriate environment is not available to you, temporary office space can be hired at additional cost.

  • What happens after I decide to proceed?

After your Discovery session, an Agreement will be sent to you, to be signed by you (and legal guardian if under the age of 18) together with an invoice for payment.

Once both have been actioned, I will provide you with an in-depth questionnaire. The responses will help customise your plan.

  • Is a signed 'Agreement' required?

Yes, the Agreement covers both coach and client in terms of expectations and outcomes.

  • Can parents attend teen sessions?

As a parent I recognise the need for parents to ensure safety for their child. I recommend splitting the initial discovery session between parents and teen, so comfort levels are satisfied all round.

However, once coaching sessions commences, parents are not able to attend sessions. It’s important for teens to have a safe place, to be vulnerable without consequence. If parents are keen to support their teen, Parent coaching is available.

  • What age group can attend teen coaching?

As you can appreciate, maturity develops differently for teenagers. The general rule of thumb I use for eligibility for teen coaching is any person in High School/ secondary education.

Please note – I hold a current Working with Children Clearance and Police Background Check

  • Can anyone who cares for a teen attend parent coaching?

Yes, if you are in a position of influence or care for a teen, the content will help you understand how to relate and connect in a more supportive way.
